Multi-billionaire John Fredriksen building daughters’ images?
Billionaire Norwegian shipowner and businessman John Fredriksen has placed one of his twin daughters, Kathrine Fredriksen (see picture), on the board of his major stocklisted tanker firm Frontline Ltd. Her sister, Cecilie Fredriksen, already sits on the board of another Fredriksen-controlled company, the Oslo-based collection agency Aktiv Kapital.
“He’s a modern-day Onassis. The tanker king. He landed squarely in the sweet spot of the tanker cycle, with the largest fleet of ships.” In 2001 an article on Forbes.com described him as having “a tanker fleet bigger than anything Aristotle Onassis ever had.”
Simultaneously, John Fredriksen is seemingly launching a media campaign to promote his daughters in Norwegian media. While I don’t know this for sure, the articles presenting his beautiful daughters Kathrine and Cecilie has all the marks of a professional PR-campaign on them. They appear at roughly the same time in several papers each time, and the content is similar.
The two young ladies are presented as savvy business-women. While I think it is wonderful that John Fredriksen is teaching his daughters business, I think perhaps the PR firm may be overstating the case a little, perhaps in order to please Mr. Fredriksen. While they may be talented, they are still a little too young for the heroic role assigned in some of the articles.
The odd piece of information, strange facts, comments on news, ranting and rambling. Kicks and licks. Fun, irony and sarcasm, often, though, with some serious intention.
I live and have lived in Europe and the US. I like both.

Is this irony or what.
When the Fredriksens are attemting to pretend classy, it is so non-ethical and non-sexy being a milliardaire and at the same timeexploiting this being un-generously eager for more money through mafia-like Collection Agencies like Aktive Capital.
That is the no.1 non-classy abouth them.
Certainly Onassis always had his image, never something as non-generous like this about him. Image is everything.
To be the board member in art-foundations is always more convincing and impressive for people – who comes from old money though, not noveau-riches like the Fredriksens.
The merely grown-up twins should concider their true image in the society, and not taking all advices from the grown-ups around them for good fish.
Like the traditional £100 note, that is always given from the Fredriksens to the poor beggars in Norway waiting outside the restaurant, each x-mas dinner..
What could be more pathetic than that.
Kitch-rich are the Fredriksens new image, accentuated by the too white-ish bleached blondes, no wonder they are always wearing wear big, fat sunglasses, ieah.
The upcoming x-mas, what about giving the poor people some pairs of sunglasses as well.

I greatly admire John Fredrikson, and I think his choice to place his two gorgeous daughters on the board of his companies is his buinesss and in the best interest of both companies. Great choice Mr. Fredrikson, my hat is off to you sir!!!

I just wanted to read about John Fredriksen and then I saw these losers writing comments who are either a) norwegian ultra left-wing akpml or b) danish.
John Fredriksen is one of my favorite Norwegians and is an excellent business man. Norway needs more of his caliber.
The daughters are both intelligent and well educated from business schools.
